Role overview

Klinedinst, a legal services firm with a fast-moving San Diego office and operations across multiple states, is hiring a Help Desk Technician to support its technology environment. What you will do

  • Support and service computer hardware for users working in both on-site and hybrid network setups.
  • Answer user questions and resolve issues related to network access and everyday software use.
  • Assist users with access to Citrix-based tools and applications such as RDS and ShareFile.
  • Maintain backups, security settings, and access permissions for files and systems.
  • Install new software and keep applications updated when needed.
  • Create and manage user environments, directories, and security settings for network users.
  • Carry out desktop operating system updates, with working knowledge of Windows 10, Apple OS, and iOS devices.
  • Deploy software images and install desktop and laptop systems using Windows deployment tools and Prism Deploy.
  • Handle user account administration, including account setup, permissions, email distribution lists, and security groups.
  • Provide remote support using terminal services, Labtech, and similar remote management tools.
  • Set up and dismantle audio/video equipment, including laptops, projectors, and screens.

Compensation and hiring details

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.64 to $24.04, depending on experience. The company notes that pay is set in line with California SB1162 pay transparency requirements and may vary based on education, relevant experience, and other factors.

Work environment

The role is based in a supportive, team-driven law firm environment with strong support staff, open communication, merit-based pay, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The position requires regular in-office attendance for the first 180 days, with remote working arrangements possible later when eligible.
