Role Summary

The organization is looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Analyst to join its analytics team. This position suits someone who enjoys turning complex business questions into data-driven solutions, creating automated reporting workflows, and working with operational leaders to support better healthcare outcomes and stronger performance. The role combines independent project ownership with collaboration across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine operational, clinical, financial, and referral-related healthcare data to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and automate recurring reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
  • Develop advanced Excel tools using formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, macros, and other automation techniques.
  • Improve reporting workflows to cut manual work and raise accuracy.
  • Check data quality and investigate inconsistencies in reports or extracts.
  • Work with operational and clinical stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into analytical outputs.
  • Share insights and recommendations with leadership in a clear, practical, and actionable way.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Between 3 and 7 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, and macros.
  • Experience working with relational databases or data warehouse environments.
  • Background in creating automated reporting solutions.
  • Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, and data validation.
  • Ability to explain technical findings to audiences without a technical background.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with healthcare operations, population health, referrals, revenue cycle, clinical data, or provider productivity reporting.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse principles and ETL processes.
  • Experience handling large datasets and working within data governance practices.
