Role overview
This position is for a Head of Talent who will create and run a recruiting function from the ground up. The role blends strategy, execution, and team leadership, and works closely with the CEO and executive leadership to help the company grow through strong hiring.
You will be accountable for the full talent lifecycle, including workforce planning, executive-level hiring, and the systems that shape the company’s recruiting approach, employer reputation, and candidate journey.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the overall talent strategy across every business area, including Engineering, Product, GTM, and G&A.
- Work with founders and senior leaders on headcount planning, organizational design, and hiring sequence.
- Create and manage a high-performing recruiting team covering both technical and non-technical hiring.
- Set up scalable processes for sourcing, evaluating, and securing strong candidates.
- Independently manage important senior-level searches such as Director, VP, and C-level roles.
- Improve the company’s employer brand and strengthen the experience for candidates.
- Put in place recruiting metrics, reporting, and data-led decision-making.
- Refine hiring workflows to improve speed, quality of hire, and diversity results.
Required experience and background
- 10–15+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, including leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated success hiring and scaling teams in high-growth startups or well-regarded companies.
- Exposure to hiring for both technical and commercial/business functions.
- Strong track record in executive search and working with senior stakeholders.
- Comfort operating at both a strategic level and in a hands-on execution role in a fast-moving environment.
- Solid understanding of talent markets, compensation strategy, and candidate closing techniques.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in Series A to C companies or other hypergrowth settings.
- Exposure to hiring in AI/ML, SaaS, or deep tech environments.
- Experience building talent processes and infrastructure from the earliest stages through scale.
