Role Overview
As the Head of Robotics & Drones, you will take charge of building, growing, and scaling the company’s robotics and drone business unit. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment where innovation and new business creation are central.
What You Will Do
- Shape and deliver a full business development plan for the Robotics & Drones division.
- Spot emerging market trends, assess new opportunities, and judge commercial potential.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with technology vendors, startups, and industry partners.
- Lead the path from concept to commercialization for new products and solutions.
- Manage cross-functional projects through to launch.
- Study competitors along with market and customer needs to guide decisions.
- Work closely with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to execute solutions effectively.
- Create go-to-market plans and support sales activities.
- Lead, develop, and grow an international high-performing team.
- Own the budget and provide updates and reporting to senior leadership.
Working Model
This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week. The team gathers weekly at the Bad Laasphe location in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and the position includes remote work options.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- Practical experience in business development, preferably in robotics, UAVs/drones, or automation.
- Demonstrated success in creating and scaling new business areas or products.
- Strong awareness of technology trends and innovations in robotics and automation.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic judgement.
- Background in leading teams and managing projects.
- Global thinking and willingness to travel internationally around 6–8 times per year, including trips to Asia and North America.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with confidence in international settings.
- Very good German and English language skills.

Additional Information
The position is based in Bad Laasphe, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a full-time role with a weekly working time of 40 hours.
