The company is hiring a Head of Projects for the East Africa region, with the position based in Uganda.
Reporting to the CEO for East Africa, or another senior leader appointed for this purpose, this role is responsible for setting direction and leading major infrastructure and capital projects across the region. The position is aimed at strengthening operational performance, meeting regulatory expectations and supporting the organization’s long-term expansion plans.
Key responsibilities

- Champion strategic infrastructure programs that improve operations and support broader regional growth objectives.
- Oversee contractors, consultants and other external partners to maintain quality, compliance and effective delivery.
- Confirm that all project work follows group standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and accepted industry practices.
- Work closely with clinical, engineering and operations teams so facilities are ready for use without unnecessary disruption to healthcare services.
- Prepare and track project budgets, while finding ways to improve efficiency, sustainability and overall value.
- Guide project teams and promote a work culture built on safety, accountability and ongoing improvement.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred, or an equivalent qualification.
