About the role

Okta is hiring a strategic and outcomes-focused Head of Marketing for APJ to lead regional marketing efforts that support growth across key geographies. This role is centered on building revenue through integrated go-to-market programs, regional campaigns, and close partnership with sales, product marketing, and global teams.

The position calls for a senior growth marketer who can bring structure, speed, and operational discipline to a fast-moving environment. You will guide a team of more than 10 people across regional marketing, partner marketing, and customer growth, while serving as the main connection point between APJ and global stakeholders across office-based and remote teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the APJ demand marketing strategy across all segments, from SMB to large enterprise accounts, with the goal of increasing total pipeline.
  • Shape and run the post-sales marketing approach to improve retention, product adoption, expansion, advocacy, loyalty, and user community participation.
  • Design and execute the regional event plan, including external events, hosted roadshows, and executive/community engagement activities across APJ.
  • Lead a high-performing marketing team and coordinate closely with field sales, regional managers, the Global Demand Center, Product Marketing, and partner ecosystems such as CSPs, SIs, and resellers.
  • Work with sales and product marketing to turn market insights into localized messaging and campaign assets for APJ audiences.
  • Manage target account marketing and ABM efforts using account plans and performance analytics.
  • Build integrated programs that drive growth, then measure, refine, and report on performance, account engagement, lead quality, spend efficiency, and market insights.
  • Plan and manage budget allocation across sub-regions and channels.
  • Introduce AI-enabled ways of working, including workflow automation and process design, to improve productivity and upskilling across the APJ marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Proven success in B2B marketing across APJ, with familiarity across the broader go-to-market motion.
  • Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Solid knowledge of demand generation, inbound, and account-based/target account marketing.
  • History of owning campaigns that delivered strong returns on investment.
  • Experience using generative AI tools for marketing coordination, automation, and content creation at scale.
  • Exposure to identity-related solutions is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with sales, product marketing, and cross-functional marketing partners.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable operating independently.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfort with data analysis, metrics, and performance reporting to support decisions.
  • A degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
