Position Overview
This opportunity is for a senior leader to take charge of site infrastructure and services for mining operations in Central Province, Papua New Guinea. The role focuses on keeping essential assets and support systems developed, maintained, and running efficiently so the site can operate safely and reliably.
Core areas of ownership include facilities, accommodation, roads, workshops, utilities, and other critical site services. The position calls for a hands-on operational leader who can balance long-term planning with day-to-day infrastructure performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct infrastructure build, upkeep, and enhancement initiatives across the site.
- Manage facilities, camps, workshops, roads, utilities, and supporting services.
- Take responsibility for power, water, sewerage, fuel, and communications systems.
- Work with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Create and run maintenance programs that strengthen reliability and operational readiness.
- Contribute to expansion planning and future infrastructure requirements.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure, construction, facilities management, or operational services.
- Background in mining, oil and gas, construction, or remote-site operations.
- Practical understanding of infrastructure systems, utilities, maintenance, and contractor coordination.
- Strong capability in leadership, project delivery, and stakeholder management.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience working in Papua New Guinea or comparable remote operating settings.
- Exposure to mining infrastructure and camp operations.
- Qualification in engineering, construction management, or a trade discipline.
Location
Central Province, Papua New Guinea.
