Job description
Role overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced senior IT leader to join a private equity-backed healthcare services group with a broad network of medical practices across Germany. The business has expanded through acquisitions and is now concentrating on bringing systems together, creating common standards, and establishing a technology platform that can scale with future growth.
The position reports to the CFO and oversees an IT team of roughly 35 professionals. The focus is on unifying infrastructure, applications, and patient/physician data management tools across the group.
Key responsibilities
- Bring together, standardise, and streamline IT systems, infrastructure, and mission-critical applications across several German locations.
- Lead the integration of disconnected application environments, including doctor and patient data management systems (PDMS) and similar healthcare platforms.
- Design and deliver the IT strategy that supports the company’s Buy & Build growth plan.
- Eliminate duplicate tools, workflows, and operating expenses wherever possible.
- Maintain secure, dependable, and uninterrupted IT operations across the organisation.
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior management and help lead cross-functional transformation programmes.
- Guide, grow, and energise an established IT organisation of about 35 employees.
- Oversee external technology providers and key vendors.
Candidate profile
- Deep leadership experience in roles such as Head of IT, IT Director, or another comparable senior technology leadership position.
- A strong record of aligning and merging IT environments after acquisitions or in complex organisations operating across multiple sites.
- Hands-on experience with implementing, consolidating, or managing PDMS solutions or equivalent operational systems.
- Solid understanding of enterprise software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
- Experience in a private equity-backed Buy & Build setting or another fast-growing, decentralised services business is a strong advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management capability and a proven ability to lead change effectively.
- A practical, hands-on leadership approach with a strong bias toward execution.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Willingness to work on-site regularly across locations in the Greater Bavarian area.
Additional information
This role is well suited to an IT executive who enjoys turning complex technology environments into scalable platforms, building high-performing teams, and enabling the next stage of growth in a dynamic healthcare services organisation.
