About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding Financial Services company based in Dublin, serving both domestic and international markets, is seeking a Finance Director to lead their Finance department through ongoing growth driven by both organic development and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily financial operations, with a focus on regulatory reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with the CEO and CFO to devise and implement long-term financial strategies and business plans.
- Lead the yearly budgeting process and deliver regular financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and key performance indicators for the Board and stakeholders.
- Identify potential financial risks and enforce rigorous internal controls and audit protocols.
- Guide and develop a high-performing finance team through strong leadership and mentoring.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain and manage relationships with financial institutions such as banks, auditors, and investors.
- Contribute periodically to merger and acquisition activities as part of expansion efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced professional with 10+ years post-qualification experience, holding ACA, ACCA, or CPA credentials.
- Background in Financial Services is essential, with preference given to candidates from the Insurance sector.
- Hands-on approach with solid communication abilities and extensive knowledge of finance operations.
- This position offers a significant growth pathway towards C-suite roles within the parent group and broader business.
