Role overview
Leon Grill is looking for a seasoned and target-driven Head of Central Kitchen to oversee its Bangalore production hub. This role calls for hands-on leadership across manufacturing operations, supply coordination, quality control, inventory oversight, and team management, with a strong focus on efficiency and food safety.
Key responsibilities
- Run day-to-day central kitchen operations and plan production volumes effectively.
- Coordinate dispatches so food products reach multiple outlets on schedule.
- Protect product consistency, quality standards, hygiene, and food safety practices.
- Supervise the production, warehouse, dispatch, and inventory functions.
- Improve yield, reduce wastage, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Track stock movement, inventory levels, and material requirements.
- Maintain compliance with FSSAI rules, internal SOPs, and audit expectations.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and quality teams to keep workflows smooth.
- Identify and implement process improvements that raise productivity and operational performance.
Supply chain focus
- Prepare demand forecasts and convert them into production schedules.
- Plan purchases and coordinate with vendors.
- Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Manage logistics and outbound dispatch planning.
- Align raw material planning with cost-control goals.
- Continuously improve supply chain processes for better efficiency.
Candidate profile
- The company is seeking a candidate with 8 to 15 years of experience in central kitchen operations, food production, QSR, restaurant chains, FMCG food manufacturing, or hospitality.
- Experience should include large-scale food production and distribution environments.
- Strong leadership and people management ability are essential.
- Good working knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, inventory systems, and supply chain operations is required.
- The role expects ownership of production KPIs, cost management, and operational efficiency improvements.
