Role Overview
This position is for a senior business development leader to drive APAC growth, with a strong emphasis on India. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on selling of IT services and fixed-scope digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will build new business opportunities, develop enterprise relationships, and help shape a scalable sales function.
What You Need to Bring
The role calls for more than 10 years of experience in B2B IT services, digital transformation, or other complex project-based sales across the APAC region. You should have a track record of converting pipeline into closed fixed-scope work, with strong qualification discipline and healthy win rates. Experience in setting up or expanding sales teams through hiring, coaching, and performance management is important.
The company is looking for someone who has worked closely with senior business and IT stakeholders in at least two industries such as manufacturing, supply chain, energy, retail, finance, pharma, healthcare, transport, or construction. You should be able to understand client processes deeply and turn business problems into structured IT scopes and transformation roadmaps. Strong command over the full IT services sales cycle, from discovery to closure, along with disciplined CRM and pipeline management, is expected.
Working knowledge of cloud, data, and AI ecosystems, common technology stacks, and the value they create is required. The role also needs strong executive-level communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills, plus confidence in discussions with C-level leaders. Prior success with international APAC clients, an existing regional network, and familiarity with partner-led or co-sell models such as Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, or UiPath will be valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the business development and sales plan for APAC in line with company growth goals.
- Set up and grow the APAC sales team from the ground up, including recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing development of Business Development Managers and Representatives.
- Serve as a senior, hands-on sales leader responsible for directly closing IT services and fixed-scope digital transformation deals across APAC, especially India.
- Create top-of-funnel opportunities through your network of clients, partners, and ecosystem contacts in APAC, while working closely with Marketing and regional partners.
- Build, qualify, and manage a healthy pipeline using value-based selling, taking full ownership from first conversation to contract finalization.
- Drive the complete sales cycle, including discovery sessions, solution design with Presales, proposal development, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
- Convert client challenges into practical technology solutions and transformation programs in Cloud, Data, AI, and Intelligent Automation that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Grow strategic enterprise accounts by building trusted relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders and identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Presales, Delivery, and Partners across regions to create strong proposals and ensure a smooth transition to delivery.
- Represent the organization in executive-level meetings, industry events, and partner forums throughout APAC.
