Job description

About Ancient Remedies

Ancient Remedies is a dynamic natural health and wellness company dedicated to empowering individuals through holistic medicine. Our products are designed to help people take greater control of their health, and we strive to build a brand that customers are proud to support, employees value, and that earns trustworthy recommendations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Brand & Organic who will elevate Ancient Remedies as the most trusted and authoritative brand in our sector. While our direct-response marketing performs well, our brand visibility and organic social presence do not yet convey the company's quality and ambition consistently across channels. This position is pivotal in refining how customers perceive and connect with us, creating a cohesive and compelling brand voice and presence that builds customer confidence and trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement brand strategy and messaging to ensure a consistent, trustworthy, and recognizable presence across all customer touchpoints.
  • Establish and grow a strong organic social media presence on relevant platforms.
  • Identify and collaborate with credible experts and authority figures to reinforce brand credibility.
  • Lead the creation of content strategies including direction and scheduling for organic social media, YouTube, educational materials, and trust-enhancing content.
  • Expand our presence in YouTube and long-form educational content to build a sustainable authority-driven content ecosystem.
  • Enhance SEO strategies and reputation management to improve our search visibility and customer trust when researching our brand.
  • Coordinate across functions such as paid media, funnels, email, e-commerce platforms, customer support, and compliance to ensure brand consistency.
  • Develop comprehensive brand guidelines covering messaging, visual identity, tone, compliance claims, expert collaboration, and content standards.
  • Build and lead a team comprising strategists, editors, designers, creators, agencies, and operational staff as the function grows.
  • Measure brand and organic impact through quality of output, audience engagement, branded search trends, organic traffic, revenue contribution, customer trust metrics, and conversion improvements.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in growing brands, organic content platforms, or authority-led media, particularly within direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, health and wellness, supplements, publishing, or education sectors. You should have a strong understanding that brand encompasses trust, clarity, authority, consistency, and tasteful repetition, and know how to integrate brand building with direct response marketing efficiently.

You bring a sharp content instinct with the ability to quickly assess digital assets for trustworthiness, premium quality, and effective customer persuasion. You thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring high ownership, able to audit current brand touchpoints, identify key gaps, devise strategies, and execute improvements swiftly.

  • Experience in DTC, wellness, education, or trust-driven categories.
  • Expertise balancing brand and direct response approaches.
  • Excellent aesthetic and strategic judgment in organic social, YouTube, and authority content.
  • System-building skills to establish scalable brand processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities for managing creative teams and maintaining high standards.
  • Capability to translate customer needs, product features, and expert insights into persuasive content.
  • Passion for natural health, self-empowerment, and facilitating personal control over wellness.
  • Proactive, fast-moving mindset with a desire to influence company growth visibly.

Benefits and Work Environment

  • Competitive salary benchmarked to industry standards with periodic reviews.
  • Performance-based bonuses recognizing impactful contributions.
  • Fully remote role allowing work from any location with no commute.
  • Flexible working hours supporting autonomy and asynchronous communication.
  • 22 days paid annual leave plus 4 paid sick days, no questions asked.
  • One-time home office equipment budget to set up your workspace.
  • Annual learning budget for professional development.
  • Significant role ownership within a growing company of over 100 employees.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment committed to shared success.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial application review followed by HR outreach for brand experience discussion.
  • Video interview with HR team member.
  • Interview with a company co-founder.
  • Take-home case study assignment and presentation to co-founder.
  • Additional video interview with founders if progressing.
  • Final step is an offer if selected.
