About the Company
GlobalDrum is building technology that helps media businesses better understand, control, and monetise their most valuable social audiences by using live behavioral audience data so brands can run diversified business models on demand.
The company is developing a next-generation B2B2C platform as a service (PaaS) on a globally distributed cloud setup, with a scalable event-driven architecture powered by modern AI and data methods to transform an entire industry.

Role Overview
This is a full-time senior backend engineering position for an AI-first builder who still enjoys writing code directly. You will help shape the core of a multi-tenant platform and work from Dubai in a fast-moving technology team.
The role focuses on designing and delivering backend systems that support monetisation features such as content ingestion, ad serving, and subscriptions. You will make strong use of AI development tools to produce, validate, and launch cloud-agnostic code quickly and effectively.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-velocity environment and has a strong history of creating large-scale, data-heavy global systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services that can scale across cloud environments, along with real-time, event-driven data pipelines.
- Create secure multi-tenant architectures, connect payment systems, and develop dependable public APIs.
- Develop and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities that enable advanced agent-style functionality.
- Take part in Scrum processes, lead ownership of complex architectural initiatives, and support and guide teammates.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive practical experience using AI-assisted development workflows and coding copilots at scale.
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture, AWS, and cloud-agnostic backend engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to design real-time, event-driven systems.
- Solid experience working in early-stage startup settings with Scrum.
Preferred Background
- Knowledge of SaaS/PaaS products, multi-tenant systems, MarTech, and AdTech.
- Hands-on experience connecting payment gateways such as Stripe and building MCP layers.
Nice-to-Have Exposure
- Understanding of media and/or news technology ecosystems.
- Experience in AdTech, including ad networks, programmatic bidding, and ad serving.
- Background in consulting or startup/scale-up environments, with a strategic, client-focused, and solution-oriented mindset.
