Job description
Overview
This role sits at the front line of guest interactions at Marina Bay Sands, supporting ticketing and box office operations while delivering a polished, helpful experience to every visitor. The position calls for accuracy, speed, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed in busy service environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of service to guests and visitors.
- Handle walk-in ticket purchases and enquiries at the counter and self-service kiosks.
- Process ticket transactions promptly and with a high degree of accuracy through the computerised ticketing platform.
- Carry out cashiering tasks, including accepting cash, credit card, room charge, vouchers, and other payment methods.
- Manage daily opening, closing, and sales reconciliation for self-service ticketing kiosks.
- Redeem tickets for club members according to their entitlement and privileges.
- Support the onboarding and guidance of casual ticketing staff.
- Try to resolve issues on the spot where possible, or escalate and document them for the supervising officer.
- Take on any additional duties assigned as required.
Requirements
- No formal education is needed for this position.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail, ticketing, or events-related work is required.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong team collaboration skills are important.
- English fluency is required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are needed.
- A pleasant, upbeat, and professional manner is expected.
- Applicants should be neat, well-presented, and well-groomed.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools is required.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and a calm approach under pressure are essential.
- Must be available for rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
