Job description
Role Overview
In this position, you will focus on analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues affecting gas turbines to keep equipment running efficiently and reduce unplanned downtime. You will also support turbine operation and commissioning, work alongside commissioning specialists during start-up activities, and carry out practical maintenance tasks using technical manuals and records. The role requires strict adherence to industry quality expectations and HSE requirements, along with a cooperative, solution-oriented approach in a global team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out in-depth technical checks and fault-finding on gas turbines to identify and fix operational problems.
- Support turbine operation and commissioning activities while following the required technical standards.
- Handle mechanical maintenance work in power generation and Oil & Gas environments.
- Review, maintain, and refresh technical records so they accurately reflect equipment condition.
- Follow applicable quality requirements and health, safety, and environment rules at all times.
- Work closely with international colleagues, take initiative, and contribute ideas to improve outcomes and solve problems.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. Prior exposure to the operation and commissioning of Siemens, Alstom, MHI, or GE turbines is expected. You should bring strong mechanical maintenance capability, the confidence to perform under pressure, and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT tools. A good understanding of quality and HSE practices is important, along with strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
