Role Overview

Camsaw Group Ltd, based in Portarlington, Co. Laois, is hiring a senior operations leader to oversee the core operational engine of the business. Reporting to the Company Directors, this position offers a competitive salary starting at €50k+, with the final package depending on experience, plus a performance bonus and benefits.

The group is made up of Camsaw Distributors Ltd, Camsaw Distribution Ltd NI, and One Stop Fulfilment Ltd. It operates as an exclusive national distributor and official agent for major outdoor equipment brands, serving independent garden machinery and hardware dealers across Ireland. Through One Stop Fulfilment Ltd, the business also delivers warehousing, fulfilment, and distribution services to customers across Ireland.

With more than 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, over 10,000 SKUs, and nationwide distribution across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, the group is in a major growth phase. The successful candidate will help build the operational structure, systems, and team needed to support that expansion.

What the Role Involves

This is a high-responsibility leadership role for an experienced operations professional who can thrive in a fast-moving environment. The role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic oversight, requiring someone who is comfortable both on the warehouse floor and in senior management discussions.

The Group Head of Operations will take ownership of warehouse activity, logistics, inventory, fulfilment, process improvement, systems, and team performance across the group. The aim is to deliver strong current performance while also creating a scalable platform for future growth.

Operational Leadership

  • Take overall responsibility for operations across the group.
  • Shape and implement operational plans that support growth targets.
  • Design structures, systems, and workflows that can expand with the business.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, reliability, and ongoing improvement.
  • Partner with the Directors on planning, investment, and wider business direction.
  • Contribute as a senior member of the leadership team.

Warehouse, Distribution and Inventory

  • Manage warehouse activity including goods receipt, storage, stock control, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Oversee a large warehouse and distribution operation spanning over 100,000 sq. ft.
  • Improve warehouse layout, process flow, and day-to-day efficiency.
  • Supervise nationwide distribution activities.
  • Ensure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
  • Raise productivity, service quality, and overall operational output.
  • Maintain strong standards of cleanliness, order, and workplace discipline.
  • Protect stock accuracy across more than 10,000 SKUs.
  • Introduce and maintain reliable inventory management practices.
  • Lead stock counts, audits, and reconciliation work.
  • Reduce discrepancies, losses, and unnecessary waste.
  • Work alongside procurement and commercial teams to improve stock availability and inventory control.
  • Use reporting and controls to strengthen visibility and decision-making.

3PL and Fulfilment Growth

One Stop Fulfilment Ltd is a growing third-party logistics and fulfilment operation within the group. In this role, you will help accelerate its expansion by strengthening systems, operations, and client onboarding capability.

  • Create scalable fulfilment and logistics processes.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new fulfilment clients.
  • Improve efficiency, service performance, and profitability.
  • Introduce automation, technology, and strong fulfilment best practices.
  • Build KPI frameworks and structured reporting.
  • Develop operational capacity for future customer growth.
  • Work with the Directors to execute the growth plan for the 3PL division.
  • Put in place operational foundations that can support significant scale.

  • Create a culture built on professionalism, accountability, and high standards.
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and KPIs.
  • Carry out performance reviews and development planning.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain strong operational talent.
  • Coach managers and supervisors to build leadership strength.
  • Put succession plans in place to strengthen future leadership capability.

Systems, Improvement and Compliance

  • Enhance warehouse, logistics, and fulfilment systems.
  • Drive digitisation, automation, and continuous improvement activity.
  • Build meaningful dashboards and operational reporting.
  • Lead improvement projects across all operational areas.
  • Work with ERP and WMS suppliers to improve performance from core systems.
  • Keep systems and processes scalable as the business grows.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company rules.
  • Encourage a positive and proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain safe working methods and operational standards.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with transport, operational, and regulatory requirements.

Customer Service and KPI Focus

  • Make sure operations consistently support excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with sales, procurement, and customer service colleagues.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and dependable service.
  • Support long-term retention and growth through strong operational standards.
  • Track performance against measures such as warehouse productivity, stock accuracy, fulfilment accuracy, OTIF delivery, cost control, health and safety, employee engagement, retention, process improvement delivery, fulfilment client satisfaction, and operational scalability for One Stop Fulfilment Ltd.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of senior operations leadership experience, along with a strong background in warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, distribution, or supply chain settings.
