About The Role
A privately held and diversified consulting firm based in Dubai is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join during an expansion phase within the region. This newly established leadership position entails responsibilities across the entire group with a clear path to higher executive roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of financial reporting, group consolidation, treasury functions, governance, and business partnering across various business units operating in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Kingdom.
- Collaborate closely with the Group Head of Finance & IT to shape and develop the finance capabilities throughout the group.
- Supervise one direct subordinate, with plans to increase the team size later in the year.
- Serve a pivotal role in executing a major group-wide transformation initiative.
- Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and cash flow management spanning multiple countries.
- Lead the external audit engagements ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
- Work alongside senior operational leaders to facilitate commercial decision-making.
Skills and Experience
- Mandatory GCC regional finance leadership experience.
- Proven track record of managing finance teams across multiple countries.
- Strong expertise in IFRS reporting, group consolidation, and managing external audits.
- Practical experience in treasury, banking, and cash management activities.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant including ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
- Commercially astute with excellent ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly basic salary ranging between AED 25,000 and AED 30,000.
- Additional benefits include housing and transport allowances, medical insurance coverage, annual bonus, and flight allowance.
- Based in Dubai, UAE, with minimal travel mostly limited to Saudi Arabia as needed.
