About the Role
The company is looking for an experienced CAD and graphic designer to join its creative team. This position plays a key part in shaping the brand’s visual language across apparel, home goods, and accessories. The role involves developing seasonal concepts, producing original prints, patterns, and graphics, and working closely with cross-functional partners to move ideas from concept through production. Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
- At least 10 years of experience in graphic and/or CAD design, ideally in apparel or a global retail setting
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong sense of color, composition, typography, and concept building
- Solid knowledge of print and graphic application methods across different fabrics and materials
- Understanding of factory production capabilities and application processes to support efficient development
- A versatile portfolio that shows a wide range of styles and techniques
- Excellent organization and close attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Comfort working independently, owning projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Portfolio submission is required and should demonstrate range, color work, and concept development
Responsibilities
- Create distinctive prints and pattern artwork that matches the Comfrt brand aesthetic
- Develop graphic ideas for a range of apparel products, including logo, licensed, and non-logo designs
- Design packaging that stays consistent with brand guidelines
- Work with design, production, and marketing teams to generate and refine new concepts
- Study fashion, graphic, and cultural shifts through market research and social listening
- Stay aware of customer preferences, market direction, and brand positioning
- Produce original graphics, repeat patterns, and print assets suited to different materials and applications
- Coordinate with factories and internal partners by giving clear artwork instructions and ensuring execution aligns with the design vision
- Communicate with vendors, share feedback promptly, and review print quality, scale, and placement
- Keep digital files organized and archived for easy retrieval and future use
- Present concepts and creative direction to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
- Track industry trends, new technologies, and emerging design methods to keep the brand competitive
