Role overview
FASTSIGNS #200201 is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join its team in Happy Valley, Southland, New Zealand. This role is focused on creating high-quality visual artwork for signage production, working closely with customer-provided materials and internal production requirements.
What you'll do
- Produce full-color computer-generated graphics and vinyl output ready for printing, mounting, cutting, weeding, and application.
- Adapt or finish artwork supplied by customers, including drawings, files, or exact design output prepared by the client.
- Choose the most suitable layout, type style, type size, and spacing based on available space, design appeal, and production needs.
- Review each job carefully before it is sent to output, checking accuracy, material selection, and device settings.
- Keep the customer logo library organized and convert graphic files as needed.
Requirements and qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in graphic design.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Capable of identifying the best production method based on customer needs.
- Comfortable sitting at a computer screen for extended periods of 4 hours or more.
- Able to perform well under pressure while producing a high volume of accurate, high-quality work.
