About the opportunity

Begin your professional journey with a graduate program designed to help you convert your studies into practical engineering impact. This position is part of the Transmission and Distribution practice within the Energy and Industrial team, based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

What you will do

  • Build capability in transmission line design tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower.
  • Develop an understanding of engineering standards used in transmission design, including ASNZS7000.
  • Contribute to a range of renewable energy projects across New Zealand, including battery energy storage systems, solar, and wind farms.
  • Take ownership of your development through workshops and self-directed learning.
  • Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to active client projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, advisory, and design disciplines.
  • Work toward professional accreditation and chartership.

What you need to bring

  • A relevant Washington Accord accredited degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, completed or close to completion.
  • Graduation status and availability to begin full-time work in early February 2027.
  • Genuine curiosity and an interest in solving practical, real-world problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a cooperative, team-focused attitude.
  • Motivation to develop both technical and consulting capabilities.
