Job description
About the Company
Murray & Associates is a respected landscape architecture practice based in Dublin. The firm works across a broad mix of projects, including urban, commercial, residential, historic and environmental settings. Its focus is on shaping landscapes that are imaginative, environmentally responsible and valuable to clients while also being enjoyable for the people who use them.
Role Overview
The studio is inviting applications from Graduate Landscape Architects who are eager to contribute to design-led projects and develop their skills in a professional practice environment. The position offers an opportunity to work on high-quality landscape work with a team that values both creativity and strong project outcomes.
What You Will Be Expected to Do
- Support the development of landscape design work through creative drawings, visual presentations and model-making.
- Contribute strong graphic thinking to communicate design ideas clearly and effectively.
- Use relevant design and drafting software to prepare project materials.
- Help produce work suited to a range of landscape contexts, from urban and commercial schemes to residential, historic and environmental projects.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have a genuine interest in the landscape, both designed and natural, along with a solid understanding of the subject. A third-level qualification in Landscape Architecture is preferred, ideally with Irish Landscape Institute or IFLA accreditation. Strong written and spoken communication skills are important, as is the ability to produce imaginative design output. Prior professional office experience is helpful but not required.
Application Details
To apply, prepare a cover letter, your CV and three selected examples of your project work to date. Candidates shortlisted from the initial review will be contacted for interview. The first appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement after successful completion. Applications should be emailed to the attention of Mark Boyle, Director. The email attachment limit is 10 MB; if your files are larger, include a download link instead.
Additional Requirements
A degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related subject is required. Previous professional experience is desirable, though it is not mandatory.
