Job description
Role overview
This organisation is making major investments in technology and wider business change, with several IT and systems initiatives already in progress. They are expanding their delivery team and want an ambitious graduate who is ready to build a career in a fast-moving, supportive environment.
As a Graduate Business Analyst, you will play a central part in project delivery, helping connect business needs with technical solutions. You will contribute throughout the lifecycle of systems and IT projects: understanding what users require, checking that solutions perform correctly, and keeping key stakeholders updated. The role also involves spending time with business teams to understand current processes, identify improvements, and shape practical solutions.
This opportunity is well suited to a graduate who enjoys analysis, asks thoughtful questions, solves problems methodically, and communicates clearly with different audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the full delivery cycle for business systems and IT projects, including requirements capture, testing, issue tracking, and progress updates.
- Review existing ways of working, spot opportunities to improve them, and support the rollout of better solutions.
- Collect, record, and confirm business requirements through workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
- Help with test preparation and execution, including user acceptance testing.
- Monitor project issues and risks, escalating items when needed to support timely resolution.
- Create well-structured documentation, progress reports, and management summaries.
- Develop productive relationships with stakeholders across both business and technology teams.
- Contribute to change management activities and help users adopt new systems during implementation.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Business & IT, or another relevant subject.
- Strong analytical ability and a careful eye for detail.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious, proactive approach and clear interest in both business and technology.
- Preferred: a placement year or industrial year in business analysis, IT, or a project-based role.
- Preferred: familiarity with business systems, process mapping, or project delivery approaches such as Agile or Waterfall.
What’s on offer
- A competitive graduate pay and benefits package.
- Structured learning, mentoring, and a defined route for development.
- Real responsibility and exposure to projects from the outset.
- A collaborative and supportive team environment.
- The chance to progress into business analysis, project management, or IT leadership roles.
