Role overview
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who wants hands-on exposure to private practice accounting and business advisory. The role is designed for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and is keen to build practical experience while contributing to client outcomes. You’ll mainly handle lower-level and administrative work, while learning from Senior Accountants and the Manager.

Responsibilities
- Own and manage your assigned work and job reports independently.
- Assist Senior Accountants and the Manager by completing tasks as directed.
- Follow up with the ATO regarding outstanding or unresolved matters.
- Prepare draft replies to client questions for review and approval by a Senior Accountant.
- Work with bookkeepers to resolve client transaction-related queries.
- Monitor and update weekly utilisation in the workflow capacity spreadsheet.
- Alert the manager promptly when your workload is light so additional tasks can be assigned.
- Raise capacity concerns with managers when workload becomes excessive so client work can be reassessed.
- Support meeting preparation for Senior Accountants and the Accountant Manager.
- Take notes during director and client meetings when required.
- Help prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers.
- Assist with tax return preparation and related workpapers.
- Support BAS preparation and associated workpapers.
- Contribute to tax planning preparation.
- Join client meetings for individual tax return preparation support.
