Role overview
Mazrui International is a diversified holding group operating across Financial Investments, Oil & Gas and Oilfield Services, Construction, Trading and Distribution (including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Industrial Equipment), Real Estate, Retail, Hospitality, Education, and other sectors. The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and reports to the Government & Public Relations Manager.
This position covers day-to-day public relations support, government-related coordination, document typing, and handling labour and immigration matters. The role also requires advising the PRO on updates in emigration, labour rules, employee rights, and employer responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will handle a wide range of government liaison and PR tasks, including document preparation, licensing support, and communication with public authorities.
- Work with government departments to secure, renew, and process licenses, approvals, certificates, attestations, and authentication documents.
- Prepare and type all PR and GR documentation accurately.
- Support the resolution of issues linked to government policies and procedures.
- Manage matters related to the Ministry of Health, embassies, traffic authorities, customs, civil defence, labour inspections, municipalities, chambers of commerce, and economic departments.
- Handle new, renewal, amendment, and cancellation processes for trade licenses, commercial registration certificates, chamber membership certificates, civil defence certificates, environmental agency certificates, and industrial licenses.
- Support all immigration-related transactions, including new requests, renewals, and cancellations.
- Safeguard employee passports, labour cards where applicable, labour contracts, Emirates IDs, and related documents.
- Assist employees in obtaining letters required by immigration, traffic, embassy, and other government offices.
- Coordinate Ministry of Labour inspections and share outcomes with management and HR.
- Keep the SWAN PR Request System updated and use it effectively.
- Maintain and update the PR SharePoint system.
Skills and knowledge
This role needs strong relationship management, hands-on government portal experience, and a solid command of UAE compliance requirements.

- Fluent spoken and written Arabic
- Good spoken and written English
- Valid driving licence
- Deep understanding of UAE labour law, especially immigration regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with local authorities
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills
- High proficiency with computers and government smart applications
- Working knowledge of e-dirham, e-Government tools, electronic funds transfer systems, and official government apps
- Practical experience with Tasheel, e-dirham, Fawri, Attijari, card reader/electronic signature, and the Ministry of Interior website
- Experience using EDNRD and EFORM portal systems
- Ability to process a broad range of visa-related matters
Experience and education
The employer is seeking someone with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a diversified group of companies. A diploma or bachelor’s degree is required.
Additional qualifications
The candidate should have thorough knowledge of PRO functions, UAE labour laws, and immigration procedures and regulations in the UAE.
