Role Overview

Mobiz is hiring a Government Relations Officer to support its team in Saudi Arabia. The position is centered on handling government-facing processes, maintaining legal and regulatory compliance, and ensuring effective coordination with public authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between the company and government departments.
  • Track, submit, and follow through on licenses, permits, and formal approvals.
  • Keep the organization aligned with current legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes to government systems, policies, and portals.
  • Prepare the business and its facilities for inspections and official visits.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure all documents and site conditions satisfy government expectations.
  • Represent the company during inspections and audits carried out by regulators and banks.
  • Develop and sustain productive relationships with important government stakeholders.
  • Manage official documentation, approvals, renewals, visas, work permits, and company licenses.
  • Ensure adherence to Saudi labor rules, immigration procedures, and related legal obligations.
  • Keep track of policy and procedure changes and advise the business accordingly.
  • Process employee visas, iqama renewals, and exit/re-entry permits.
  • Assist employees with government-related requests and help ensure a smooth administrative experience.
  • Handle employee formalities such as medical tests, fingerprint registration, and GOSI-related processes.
  • Maintain working relationships with agencies such as the Ministry of Labor, GOSI, and the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Prepare reports on government transactions and compliance status.
  • Support HR, finance, and administrative teams with official paperwork and legal procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Government Relations Officer or in a comparable role in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong grasp of Saudi labor legislation, immigration processes, and government regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Comfortable using government platforms and online services such as Muqeem, Qiwa, and GOSI.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
