Role overview

This remote contract position is for a Government Policy Consultant who will contribute domain expertise to the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems. The work involves supplying high-quality, real-world input that helps improve how models learn, reason, and perform.

Core responsibilities

  • Examine, prepare, and quality-check policy papers, legal agreements, proposals, and research material using strong Microsoft Word and PDF handling capabilities.
  • Advise on regulatory, legal, healthcare, academic, or finance-related topics and turn that analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Carry out detailed document audits to confirm accuracy, compliance, readability, and alignment with accepted professional standards.
  • Assist with precise formatting, tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction tasks.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to convert complex information into concise policies and procedures that can be acted on quickly.
  • Keep current with changes in laws, regulations, and guidance relevant to the subject area.
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly in both written and spoken communication.

Required background

  • At least 3 years of hands-on professional experience in government policy operations.
  • Advanced capability with Word and PDF tools, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and extracting data from documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional style.
  • Proven experience drafting, interpreting, and reviewing complex policy or regulatory materials.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once and deliver within strict deadlines in a remote, fast-moving setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

Preferred experience

  • Exposure to Fortune 500 clients or participation in high-visibility regulatory, legal, or policy initiatives.
