Job description

Job Overview

The GMP Lead oversees day-to-day activity in assigned GMP program areas, including both company staff and temporary workers supporting the program. The role requires a strong commitment to safe work habits, consistent use of procedures, and practical leadership on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee performance within the assigned program area.
  • Support onboarding and training on job tasks, safety practices, workplace policies, and procedures.
  • Organize and follow up on work activity to keep operations moving smoothly.
  • Prepare and share routine updates such as pass-down reports.
  • Carry out service checks and safety inspections.
  • Keep track of equipment inventory, maintenance needs, and repair status.
  • Manage supply inventory and ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Distribute equipment and supplies as required.
  • Oversee proper use and availability of PPE, supplies, and equipment.
  • Escalate issues to the supervisor without delay.
  • Report accidents promptly to the supervisor.
  • Recommend improvements where processes or performance can be strengthened.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records, including training files, inspection records, and data collection.
  • Ensure logbooks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete tasks in line with site SOP requirements.

Applicants should have the knowledge, skills, and ability needed to carry out the essential functions of the role. Duties may be adjusted or expanded as business needs change, with or without notice.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of high-tech experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications

  • A valid driver’s license is required for operating a company or personal vehicle.
  • Forklift certification may be required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, procedures, manuals, and similar documents.
  • Spanish fluency is considered an advantage.

Physical Requirements

The job may require frequent sitting and regular speaking or listening. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Schedule and Pay

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with some weekend work as needed. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.
