Job description
Role overview
Deepgram builds the voice AI infrastructure behind real-time speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and production-ready voice agents. The company supports more than 200,000 developers and over 1,300 organizations, including well-known technology and enterprise brands. Its platform is available through cloud APIs and also as self-hosted or on-premises software, with a focus on accuracy, low latency, and cost efficiency.
This opening is for an outbound Sales Development Representative focused on the EMEA market. The role is centered on generating net-new business, starting conversations with technical and executive buyers, and creating qualified sales opportunities that help the revenue team grow. You will be an important part of the sales organization and will contribute directly to pipeline creation and top-line growth.
Ways of working
Deepgram operates with an AI-first approach. Using AI tools is considered a core expectation, not an optional extra. Team members are expected to experiment with advanced AI, incorporate it into daily workflows, and continually adapt as the technology evolves. The environment is fast-moving, with changing priorities and a strong emphasis on learning, flexibility, and independent thinking rather than a rigid 9-to-5 structure.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with alliances, account executives, and other SDRs to build a healthy pipeline of new opportunities and work toward quarterly targets.
- Coordinate closely with teams such as Sales Operations and Sales Engineering to improve sales execution.
- Develop a strong understanding of the ASR market, customer pain points, competitor positioning, and Deepgram’s product value so you can communicate it clearly.
- Research target companies and uncover new use cases and commercial opportunities in speech recognition.
What the company is looking for
- At least 1 year of customer-facing experience in a SaaS environment.
- Previous experience selling a technical product.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- High empathy and the ability to understand customer requirements quickly.
- Excellent organization skills for managing complex outreach sequences and frequent follow-ups.
Preferred background
- Experience prospecting companies that match an ideal customer profile and understanding their business needs.
- A track record of exceeding sales goals in previous roles.
Why this role may appeal to you
- You value leaders with long tenure and proven success.
- You enjoy working with high-performing cross-functional partners across go-to-market teams.
- You appreciate selling a product that has already been validated in the market and delivers on its technical claims.
- You are excited by Deepgram’s mission and want to help expand what speech technology can do.
- You want to build a career path toward enterprise sales.
