About the Role
Waterline Resources Inc. is seeking a dedicated Geological Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This full-time, onsite position involves a variety of tasks related to geological surveys, data collection, and analysis. The role requires working in diverse environments, including urban, rural, and remote locations, both outdoors and on land.
Responsibilities
- Assist in and conduct comprehensive environmental audits.
- Execute geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys.
- Participate in prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, and underground mine survey programs.
- Direct and conduct various surveys and survey programs.
- Maintain filing and record systems through clerical duties.
- Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests.
- Create detailed notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross-sections.
- Support hydrogeological field and laboratory studies.
Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Experience operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Experience in mapping and surveying, geological, geochemical, and geophysical sampling analysis.
- Familiarity with seismic surveying, geotechnical studies, spectroscopy, microscopy, acoustic techniques, and telescoping.
- Experience in data interpretation and evaluation, environmental monitoring, field sampling and data acquisition, geological mapping, laboratory analysis, quality assurance and control, regulatory investigation, and scientific data processing.
- Experience in hydrographic surveying within the industry.
- Specialization in geophysics, geology, or extractive and physical metallurgy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Must possess steel-toed safety boots.
- Strong judgment, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills.

Eligibility
This role is open to individuals with a Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in geological or related fields. Candidates must be proficient in relevant technologies and fieldwork. Fluency in English is required.
