Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a bilingual language specialist who can work remotely and support a multilingual content project. The role involves translating and analyzing spoken video material in Gã and English, with a strong focus on accuracy, linguistic detail, and context.

Work commitment is expected to be between 10 and 40 hours per week, and compensation is set at $45 to $95 per hour.

Key responsibilities

  • Convert video audio into written form in both Gã and English while maintaining a high level of precision.
  • Mark timestamps so transcripts align correctly with the video.
  • Examine how speakers express emotion and intent, and reflect that in the annotation work.
  • Label grammar, vocabulary, and sentence-structure patterns in both languages.
  • Explain the meaning of words and phrases in a way that preserves cultural and situational nuance.
  • Work with a cross-functional team on complex language-analysis tasks.
  • Produce well-organized deliverables that follow the project instructions and timelines.

Requirements

  • Near-native or native command of Gã and strong fluency in English, with excellent speaking and writing ability in both.
  • Prior experience accurately transcribing and interpreting spoken content.
  • Careful attention to detail when tagging grammar, tone, and emotional cues.
  • Solid understanding of linguistic structure, semantics, and cultural context in both languages.
  • Background in transcription, language analysis, or linguistics work at an advanced level.
  • Dependable work style with a proven ability to meet quality standards and deadlines.
