Job description

Role overview

An established Irish charity is looking for a Fundraising & Events Coordinator to join its fundraising team. This position offers the chance to support volunteer-led fundraising work that has a direct impact on people across Ireland. The role suits someone who enjoys building relationships, working with communities, and helping local groups run effective fundraising initiatives.

The coordinator will work closely with volunteer branches and community partners to strengthen engagement, improve event delivery, and help grow fundraising activity across the region. The position is based across Leinster and the South East and may be offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and sustain productive relationships with volunteer fundraising branches and local community contacts.
  • Help plan, organise, and deliver regional fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and succession planning of volunteers.
  • Spot and develop fresh fundraising opportunities within communities.
  • Offer practical support with event administration, communications, and social media activity.
  • Track fundraising results and contribute to meeting regional income goals.
  • Keep CRM and internal records accurate and up to date, including reporting requirements.
  • Promote good practice and contribute to the ongoing improvement of fundraising activity across the area.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will bring experience from fundraising, sales, business development, community engagement, or another role where relationship management is central. They should be confident in reaching targets, identifying opportunities, and communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Strong organisational ability, sound project and time management skills, and the capacity to work independently are important. Experience working with volunteers or community groups would be a plus, along with solid IT skills and the ability to maintain reliable records and reports.

A full driving licence is required, and the role involves travel throughout the region as well as occasional evening events.

Additional information

This is a permanent opportunity within a national charity, supporting fundraising activity across Leinster and the South East. The successful applicant will work as part of a team committed to community engagement and volunteer-led fundraising.
