Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a full-stack engineer enthusiastic about taking full responsibility for live systems, delivering swiftly, and contributing to the foundational development of a product that bridges physical and digital realms. This position is ideal for those who excel in fast-paced, challenging settings and enjoy tackling complex problems alongside a small, highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive projects proactively by seeking clarity and asking insightful questions without waiting for instructions.
- Assume complete ownership from system design and architecture through implementation and deployment, continuously shipping and improving.
- Maintain a close connection to users, actively debugging in real time and integrating user feedback to enhance system performance.
- Remain composed under pressure, responding quickly and efficiently to system issues.
Technical Requirements
A strong foundation in multiple areas is preferred, though not all are required:
- Frontend technologies including modern JavaScript and TypeScript, with an emphasis on component-based UI development and user-friendly experiences.
- Backend proficiency in languages such as Rust, Python, or C++, particularly with interest in low-level performance optimization.
- Experience with service communication protocols like gRPC and designing clear service boundaries.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Bazel, Buck, or Nix.
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows using platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
- Skills in deploying applications on Kubernetes environments (development, staging, production) with tools like Tilt, ArgoCD, Flux, Omni, or Rancher.
- Competence in monitoring and observability using Datadog or Honeycomb.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- Experience building or deploying virtual reality projects, with understanding of WebXR or OpenXR standards.
- Background in robotics or ROS 2.
- Comfortable working with WebRTC and real-time, high-performance systems.
