About the Role

The Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin is seeking a Receptionist to join the front office team at its Dublin property. This opportunity sits within the wider Hodson Bay Group, supported by the Hyatt partnership, as the hotel continues building its presence in the capital.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome arriving guests in a warm, courteous, and professional way.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, while keeping billing accurate.
  • Respond to guest questions and share details on hotel facilities, nearby attractions, and transport or travel directions.
  • Take care of telephone, email, and online reservations, ensuring information is entered correctly in the system.
  • Complete front desk duties according to the hotel’s agreed standards.
  • Prepare in advance for guest arrivals, especially for booked-in customers, and make sure check-in is handled properly.
  • Answer guest requests promptly and professionally, whether in person or by phone, and involve management when required.
  • Work closely with the Accommodation Manager or Supervisor regarding room status, VIP arrivals, and room allocations.
  • Process cash, card, and other payment methods with accuracy.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to support guest needs.
  • Manage lost property according to hotel policy.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a hotel receptionist.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good people skills.
  • Comfort handling several tasks at once and working effectively under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of Opera.
  • A polished appearance and a constructive, can-do attitude.
  • Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
