Job description

Role overview

This is a permanent, full-time front of house position at an established five-star venue in Dublin 2. The role supports a high-standard cleaning and workplace operation, with a strong focus on client satisfaction, smooth day-to-day service delivery, team contribution, and ongoing operational improvements. A major part of the job is using IT systems confidently for reporting, scheduling, monitoring performance, and supporting the wider operation.

Working pattern

The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule. Some flexibility is needed to cover occasional evening meetings and events.

Key duties

  • Own the experience of visitors inside and outside the venue so every interaction feels polished and welcoming.
  • Handle standard front of house tasks such as signing visitors in, issuing badges, managing luggage, tracking lost property, and receiving deliveries.
  • Answer and route calls, emails, and other incoming front-of-house queries.
  • Welcome and guide visitors, candidates, new starters, contractors, and members of the public in a professional manner.
  • Stay aware of meetings and events taking place onsite to create a tailored visitor experience.
  • Keep reception, meeting rooms, and event areas presented to a very high standard.
  • Prepare meeting and event rooms in line with operational needs and health and safety requirements.
  • Check room conditions, furniture, equipment, signage, consumables, and general readiness.
  • Use booking and scheduling tools such as room systems, Outlook calendars, conference room finders, and SharePoint.
  • Share local information with visitors and employees, including details on restaurants, hotels, shops, and transport options.
  • Work closely every day with security, cleaning, and facilities colleagues to coordinate meetings and events.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to event and meeting requests.
  • Help maintain booking displays and support occupancy management activities.
  • Assist with audits, site walkthroughs, and workplace inspections.
  • Support broader facilities work such as helpdesk queries, mail and courier handling, admin duties, and one-off projects.
  • Collaborate across different workplace settings as part of a service-led team.

Required experience and capabilities

  • Prior work in reception, concierge, front of house, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is needed.
  • Experience in a corporate setting is strongly preferred.
  • Background in catering, hospitality, or events will be helpful.
  • Exposure to facilities management is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to deal with stakeholders at every level are essential.
  • A customer-first attitude with a proactive, problem-solving approach is important.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required.
  • Solid IT ability and comfort using several systems and applications are necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills are expected.
  • The ability to stay calm, professional, and approachable in a busy environment is important.
  • You should be a dependable team player who is willing to support colleagues and help improve the workplace experience.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evening events and adapt to business needs is required.

Inclusion and workplace support

The employer is an equal opportunity organisation and values diversity. An inclusive working environment is part of the culture. Reasonable accommodations can be requested during the application or interview process.
