Project Overview

Slickdeals is seeking U.S.-based creators to produce short-form videos centered on deals and shopping-related topics. This is suited to people who are comfortable on camera, move quickly, and can deliver engaging, useful videos on tight deadlines.

Content You'll Produce

Create videos of about 40 to 80 seconds focused on a specific deal or deal-related theme such as shopping events, multiple offers from one retailer, or deal categories.
Record either as a talking-head video or with a simple visual setup such as a green screen or deal imagery behind you.
Do some light editing, but no graphics, lower thirds, or captions/chyrons are needed.
The company will complete the final edit and post-production.

How the Work Flows

Slickdeals supplies the deal or topic, along with key details and parameters, but not a full script.
You are expected to turn that input into a clear, conversational, and engaging video that explains the offer or topic.
Turnaround time can vary significantly: sometimes as little as 6 hours, and other times up to a week. Flexibility is important.
This is as-needed work with no guaranteed amount of assignments.
Selected creators may receive around 1 to 2 video assignments per week.

Who Will Do Well

Based in the United States.
Comfortable speaking on camera and able to present with clarity and confidence.
Natural, approachable, and credible on screen.
Able to interpret direction quickly and create content without a full script.
Dependable with fast delivery timelines.
Familiar with TikTok- or Reels-style content that feels authentic rather than heavily produced.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Background creating user-generated content for brands.
Ability to adjust delivery style to match the message, such as urgent, informative, or enthusiastic.
Basic sense of what makes a deal attractive to viewers.
Understanding of what performs well across different social platforms.

Additional Notes

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid test video.
Content may be distributed across Slickdeals-owned channels, including both paid and organic placements.
The ideal tone is like a deal-savvy friend: direct, helpful, slightly opinionated, and concise.
The role is subject to a background check.
Compensation is $30 to $150 per video, depending on experience and the requested video style.

Location and Work Authorization

The role is open to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area or remote workers based in the U.S. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
