Job description
Overview
Mindrift is hiring experienced frontend specialists to contribute to the Tendem project and craft polished landing pages and multi-page websites in a hybrid setup where AI handles repetitive work and you focus on execution quality, visual finesse, and final review. This freelance, part-time remote role is suited to developers who have practical experience building landing pages, small websites, and modern frontend interfaces.
As an AI Pilot in this role, you will work alongside Tendem Agents that take care of repetitive tasks, while you shape the final product into a clean, responsive, conversion-focused website that aligns with real client requirements.
What the work involves
The platform connects subject matter experts with AI-driven projects from leading technology companies. The broader goal is to help advance generative AI by bringing in real-world expertise from professionals around the world.
For this project, you will design, build, and improve landing pages, waitlist pages, promotional pages, and compact multi-page websites such as portfolios, restaurant sites, small business websites, and simple online stores. Your output should be responsive, efficient, and ready for client use.
Key responsibilities
- Create landing, waitlist, and promotional pages with strong hero sections, clear calls to action, and layouts designed to support conversions.
- Develop small multi-page websites, including pages such as Home, About, Services, and Contact, while keeping the structure aligned with the brief.
- Deliver mobile-first, responsive interfaces that behave consistently across devices and browsers.
- Add forms, email capture functionality, simple analytics, and basic CMS or headless content integrations where needed.
- Apply core on-page SEO practices, including semantic markup, meta information, performance considerations, and accessibility fundamentals.
- Review AI-generated frontend output and refine the structure, styling, markup, and content placement until it is production-ready.
- Diagnose and fix layout, speed, and cross-browser issues without close supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in frontend development, landing page creation, or website development.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Design, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Strong grounding in modern frontend development, responsive design, and building polished landing pages and compact websites.
- Solid command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including Flexbox, Grid, and responsive implementation techniques.
- Practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Astro.
- Experience using Tailwind or similar utility-first styling approaches, or modern component libraries.
- Ability to turn Figma designs or written requirements into maintainable, production-quality code.
- Familiarity with form handling, email capture tools, and simple analytics solutions such as GA4 or Plausible.
- Working understanding of on-page SEO, accessibility basics, and Core Web Vitals.
- Comfort with simple CMS or headless content tools such as Webflow, Framer, Sanity, or Contentful is beneficial.
- Strong visual judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to make pages feel intentional rather than generic.
- Independent work style with the ability to finish pages with little oversight.
- A portfolio showing shipped landing pages and/or small websites.
- English level of upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.
Project time and compensation
During active phases, the estimated workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and not a guaranteed number of hours, and it applies while the project is active.
Compensation can reach up to the equivalent of USD 60 per hour on this project, depending on your experience level and the pace of your contribution. Pay may vary across other projects based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.
Why this role may be a strong fit
- You can work remotely and set your own schedule, provided you have a laptop and a stable internet connection.
- You will gain practical experience in a hybrid workflow where human expertise and AI agents work together.
- High-quality delivery and consistent output may qualify you for performance-based bonus programs.
