Job description
Role overview
Mindrift is hiring a freelance Frontend Developer for the Tendem project, where the work focuses on creating polished landing pages and small multi-page websites in a hybrid AI-plus-human workflow. In this setup, Tendem Agents take care of repetitive tasks, while you contribute frontend quality, visual judgment, and production-level finishing to deliver responsive, conversion-oriented web experiences that align with real client briefs.
This is a remote, part-time opportunity suited to professionals with practical experience in landing page production, multi-page website development, and modern frontend frameworks.
About the platform
The Mindrift platform brings together subject-matter specialists and AI-driven projects from leading technology companies. Its goal is to help advance generative AI by drawing on practical expertise from people around the world.
What the work involves
You will be responsible for designing, building, and refining landing pages, waitlist pages, promotional pages, and compact multi-page sites such as portfolios, restaurant websites, small business sites, and straightforward online stores. The focus is on turning client requirements into responsive, fast, and well-crafted websites.
Responsibilities
- Create landing pages, waitlist pages, and promotional pages with strong hero sections, clear calls to action, and layouts built to convert.
- Develop smaller multi-page websites, such as Home, About, Services, and Contact pages, in line with client needs and simple information structure.
- Deliver mobile-first, responsive layouts that render consistently across devices and browsers.
- Set up forms, email capture flows, basic analytics, and simple CMS or headless content integrations.
- Use on-page SEO fundamentals, including semantic HTML, meta information, performance considerations, and accessibility support, so pages are ready for ranking and advertising.
- Review AI-produced frontend output and improve the markup, styling, structure, and content placement until it reaches production quality.
- Resolve layout, performance, and cross-browser problems independently.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant background in frontend development, landing page production, or website development.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of modern frontend development, responsive web design, and building high-quality landing pages and smaller websites.
- Ability to produce polished, conversion-focused user experiences and work confidently with modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including responsive design principles, Flexbox, and Grid.
- Practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Astro, or a similar tool.
- Experience using utility-first CSS such as Tailwind or working with modern component libraries.
- Ability to convert Figma files or written briefs into clean, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with form handling, email capture services, and basic analytics tools such as GA4 or Plausible.
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO, accessibility basics aligned with WCAG, and Core Web Vitals.
- Comfort with simple CMS platforms or headless content systems such as Webflow, Framer, Sanity, or Contentful is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong visual taste so the final pages feel intentional rather than generic.
- Self-managed working style with the ability to deliver complete pages with little supervision.
- A portfolio showing shipped landing pages and/or small websites.
- English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.
Working time and compensation
During active project periods, the estimated workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and not a guaranteed number of hours, and it applies while the project is active.
Contributors on this project can earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour, depending on experience level and delivery pace.
Compensation can differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
Additional benefits
- Fully remote work that can be done on your own schedule with only a laptop and a stable internet connection.
- Practical exposure to a hybrid workflow where human specialists and AI agents work together.
- Access to performance-based bonus programs that reward strong quality and reliable delivery.
