Job description
Role overview
Mindrift is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to contribute to the Tendem project and create polished landing pages and small websites in a hybrid AI-plus-human workflow. In this position, you will act as an AI Pilot, partnering with Tendem Agents that manage repetitive work while you focus on frontend quality, visual refinement, and production-ready execution. The work is remote, freelance, and part-time, making it a strong fit for professionals who have real-world experience delivering landing pages, multi-page sites, and modern frontend builds.
What the role involves
You will turn client briefs into responsive, high-performing, conversion-oriented web experiences. The work includes everything from landing pages and waitlist pages to promotional pages and compact multi-page sites such as portfolios, restaurant websites, small business sites, and simple online stores.
Key responsibilities
- Create landing, waitlist, and promotional pages with strong hero sections, clear calls to action, and layouts built to convert.
- Develop small multi-page websites, including common pages like Home, About, Services, and Contact, aligned with client needs and basic site structure.
- Deliver mobile-first, responsive interfaces that behave consistently across browsers and devices.
- Set up forms, email capture flows, basic analytics, and straightforward CMS or headless content integrations.
- Use on-page SEO fundamentals such as semantic markup, metadata, performance optimization, and accessibility improvements so pages are ready for ranking and ad traffic.
- Review AI-generated frontend work and elevate it to production quality by improving structure, styling, markup, and content placement.
- Diagnose and resolve layout, performance, and cross-browser issues independently.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in frontend development, landing page production, or website development.
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including responsive techniques, Flexbox, and Grid.
- Practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Astro, or a similar toolset.
- Experience using utility-first styling systems like Tailwind or modern component libraries.
- Ability to convert Figma designs or written briefs into clean, maintainable code.
- Working knowledge of form implementation, email capture tools, and basic analytics setup such as GA4 or Plausible.
- Understanding of on-page SEO, accessibility basics based on WCAG, and Core Web Vitals.
- Comfort working with simple CMS platforms or headless content tools such as Webflow, Framer, Sanity, or Contentful is an advantage.
- Strong visual judgment and attention to detail so pages feel intentional rather than generic.
- Self-managed work style with the ability to complete full pages with limited oversight.
- A portfolio demonstrating shipped landing pages and/or small websites.
- English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Design, or a related field is considered a plus.
Compensation and time commitment
The estimated workload for active phases is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not a guaranteed weekly volume, and it applies only while the project is active. Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of USD 60 per hour depending on skill level and pace. Pay may vary by project depending on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
Why this opportunity may appeal to you
- Work remotely and set your own schedule, provided you have a laptop and stable internet connection.
- Build experience in a collaborative environment where human specialists and AI agents work together.
- Access performance-based bonus opportunities for high-quality and consistent delivery.
