Role overview

Join a rapidly scaling AI company in Europe that is creating a new software category: voice AI for consumer-facing use cases. The product automates complete phone-based communication workflows, both inbound and outbound, across the sales cycle and after the sale for small and medium businesses as well as enterprise customers. Several major brands are already using the platform, with thousands of AI agents operating in live production environments.

This is a founding senior sales position in Berlin, working from the office five days a week. The role is for a fluent German speaker with business-level German and strong English skills. The compensation package is €140,000 to €180,000 OTE with a 50/50 base-to-variable split, plus founding-team equity.

What you will do

  • Serve as the first experienced senior sales hire and establish the enterprise sales motion from the ground up.
  • Manage major opportunities throughout the full cycle, including discovery, demos, security evaluations, procurement, redlines, and closing.
  • Build part of your pipeline independently; roughly 25% is expected to be self-generated, while the BDR team supports prospecting without replacing it.
  • Work across large, complex buying groups at companies with 250 to 10,000+ employees, including stakeholders from Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, Legal, IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Help define the sales playbook by shaping qualification standards, multi-threading strategy, executive outreach, and pricing approach, with successful methods becoming the team benchmark.

Candidate profile

  • You have 1 to 4+ years of experience closing complex, high-value B2B deals, including at least 1 year in a quota-carrying role.
  • You come from a B2B SaaS background and have worked with average starting ACV of about €30,000 or more, with clear expansion potential.
  • You are capable of generating your own pipeline and are not dependent on warm inbound leads.
  • You bring strong executive presence and can engage credibly with C-suite stakeholders from the very first conversation.
  • You understand the difference between a simple contact and a real internal champion.
  • You are highly prepared, low ego, and accountable for outcomes.

Compensation and growth

The package includes €140,000 to €180,000 in on-target earnings with a 50/50 split, plus accelerators of 1.5x between 100% and 150% attainment and 2x above 150% attainment. Founding-team equity is also included, along with a near-term opportunity to move into sales leadership for top performers.

The fully ramped annual quota is €800,000 ARR, with around €400,000 expected in the first year, indicating a genuine ramp period rather than an artificial one.

As the first senior AE, you will not inherit an existing playbook; you will create it.

Additional information

Location: Berlin, Germany. Work setup: onsite, 5 days per week. Language requirements: business-level German and English. This is a full-time position.

There is no internship component, and the role is intended for experienced candidates ready to operate in a founding sales capacity.
