Job description

About the Role

UWC South East Asia is looking for a Football Coach to guide a varied group of players and contribute to a wider mission that uses sport to build curiosity, empathy, and future-ready leaders. In this position, you will help create positive sporting experiences that support learning, peace, and a more sustainable future.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver football sessions of a high standard at different venues across Singapore, and occasionally in a virtual format, while keeping activities safe for players from beginner level through advanced.
  • Track player development through structured progression frameworks and share timely feedback with players as well as parents.
  • Assist with attracting new participants through tryouts, introductory sessions, and promotional content that aligns with the organisation’s brand guidelines.
  • Arrange and travel for local and overseas fixtures, while maintaining strong safeguarding practices and a clear duty of care.
  • Handle day-to-day administration, keep accurate attendance and participation records, and take part in regular programme reviews.

Key Requirements

  • You must have a Football Association of Singapore Grassroots License, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid and AED certification is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ coaching experience is needed, with evidence of delivering a development pathway to young people of mixed ability and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • You should be able to manage work deadlines using Google Suite.
  • The role requires flexibility for a 40-hour work week across 6 days, including weekends and evenings up to 22:00.

Mission, Inclusion and Safeguarding

The school’s mission is to bring people, countries, and cultures together through education in support of peace and a sustainable future. UWCSEA is committed to building a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected for who they are. The organisation views diversity, equity, inclusion and justice as an ongoing journey and aims to foster belonging for all community members, past, present, and future.

Applications are welcomed from all qualified candidates, including people from marginalized communities and individuals with disabilities. The school also maintains a strong safeguarding culture and expects every applicant to share that commitment. All appointments follow safe recruitment procedures and depend on successful interviews, satisfactory references, identity verification, and criminal record checks.
