Role overview

Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking full-time and part-time Food Service Utility staff to support kitchen and service operations at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Applications are accepted online only, and hiring is being done immediately.

Schedule

Compensation

The position offers a fixed pay rate of $16.40 per hour.

Key duties

The main responsibility is to keep kitchen and food service areas clean, organized, and ready for use. The role also supports general setup and supply movement across work areas.

• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping to meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Wash tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Collect waste and place it in the proper disposal containers, including cleaning trash cans as needed.
• Move supplies and equipment between storage areas and workstations.
• Help set up banquet tables and front-of-house areas.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute utensils, supplies, and portable equipment where needed.
• Follow all posted sanitation and safety rules.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service and customer service is required. The employer also notes that selected candidates must be able to carry out the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Some roles may require a Florida Level 2 background screening. This workplace is drug-free.
