Carton House, a Fairmont-managed five-star resort in Maynooth, County Kildare, is hiring Food & Beverage Assistants to support its dining operations. Key responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a friendly, courteous way and provide professional service throughout their visit.
  • Deliver the resort’s service standards by helping create a standout guest experience at every interaction.
  • Stay fully up to date on menu items, daily specials, ingredients, beverage options, and the wine list.
  • Keep aware of current promotions and sales initiatives and confidently suggest upgrades or add-ons whenever appropriate.
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while following the company’s presentation standards.
  • Handle cash transactions and follow the organization’s cash control procedures.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant understands hotel food and beverage operations, can work independently, and communicates clearly in both spoken and written English. Prior experience of at least 1 year in a similar role within a 4-star or 5-star property is expected. A well-organized and systematic approach to planning daily tasks is also important.
