Job description

Job purpose

The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is a pioneering pilot training facility in Dubai South, Dubai World Central (DWC). It provides a highly advanced environment where cadets can complete their flying training within a fully integrated operational setting.

As a Flying Instructor at EFTA, you will deliver high-quality flight training to ab-initio pilot cadets, starting on the SR-22 single-engine aircraft. Your duties will span aircraft, simulator, and classroom-based instruction, along with lesson planning, pre- and post-flight briefings, detailed reporting, and trainee assessment. Key responsibilities

  • Lead pre-flight and post-flight briefings so cadets clearly understand procedures and expectations.
  • Deliver practical flying tuition in aircraft, simulator, and ground sessions to help cadets achieve the required standards.
  • Carry out regular assessments to confirm cadets are meeting course requirements.
  • Place cadet and operational safety first, and escalate any incident, breach, or unsafe situation to the relevant team.
  • Track cadet progress and competency on an ongoing basis and prepare accurate performance reports.
  • Study, create, and suggest improved training approaches to raise learning outcomes and overall performance.
  • Provide additional flying-related training support as assigned by the Chief Flying Instructor (CFI).
