About the Company
Goldstar Transport is a major transport and logistics service provider in Western Australia, supporting customers across a wide mix of industries. The business is focused on delivering services that are both safe and efficient, and it is looking for capable, committed people to help keep operations running smoothly.
About the Role
In this position as a Fleet Scheduler, you will coordinate and manage the scheduling of the company’s long-haul fleet. You will partner with dispatch teams, clients, and internal operations groups to make sure goods are loaded, unloaded, and moved on time. The role plays an important part in maintaining service quality, supporting customer satisfaction, and getting the best use out of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise the day-to-day schedule for the long-haul fleet so vehicles are used efficiently and deliveries stay on track.
- Work with dispatch teams to map out and communicate routes for loading and unloading, while taking deadlines and customer requirements into account.
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities in a way that supports productivity and follows safety expectations.
- Support operational planning for long-haul movements to improve vehicle utilisation and reduce unnecessary delays.
- Keep accurate records of schedules, vehicle usage, and customer or client communications, and prepare reports for both internal and external use.
Requirements
- Prior experience in fleet scheduling, ideally within a transport or logistics setting.
- Solid understanding of logistics and transport operations.
- Strong coordination background, including dispatching and fleet management work.
- Well-developed organisational ability.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office applications and fleet management software.
