About the role
Johnson Controls, through its Wormald business, is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician for the Christchurch team in Canterbury, New Zealand. This is a hands-on field role with a market-leading fire protection specialist that has protected people and property across New Zealand for more than 140 years.

What you will do
- Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and testing of fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and special hazard systems.
- Act as a professional and customer-oriented representative of Wormald while working on client sites.
- Make sure all work is completed according to drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.

- Show strong interest in the company’s products, services, and safety expectations.
- Bring a can-do attitude, solid work habits, and behaviour aligned with the organisation’s values.
What we are looking for
- Either experience in the fire protection sector or at least 3 years of plumbing experience.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Practical capability with pipes, valves, pumps, and fire system components.
- Current NZ residency, citizenship, or a valid New Zealand work visa.
- Applicants from overseas may be considered if they have relevant experience and understand New Zealand fire standards.
