About the Role
This position blends fire protection engineering with sales leadership for the Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting division. The selected professional will help expand the company’s technical capabilities while also driving commercial growth through business development, project wins, and long-term client partnerships.
The role is focused on delivering revenue growth, winning new work, supporting technical delivery, and strengthening the company’s position in the Qatar market. A solid grasp of fire alarm and fire fighting systems, relevant authority expectations, and market development will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert new business opportunities for fire alarm, fire fighting, AMC, and service-related contracts.
- Develop and sustain working relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, facility management firms, government bodies, and other project partners.
- Draft and deliver technical and commercial submissions, including quotations, tenders, BOQs, and proposals.
- Track leads, pursue project opportunities, and manage the sales process through to project award.
- Support the design and review of fire alarm and fire fighting solutions in line with QCDD and NFPA standards.
- Manage authority approval workflows, inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
- Carry out site visits, technical evaluations, and client discussions to assess requirements and opportunities.
- Assist project execution teams to help ensure smooth delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Keep up with market movements, competitor activity, and new business prospects.
- Work toward sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
- Offer technical input on fire alarm systems, fire fighting systems, fire pumps, sprinklers, suppression systems, and life safety solutions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is compulsory.
- Applicants should have 5 to 10 years of experience in fire alarm, fire fighting, fire protection systems, and technical sales.
- UPDA/MMUP Electrical Engineering classification (Grade A, B, or C) is mandatory.
- QCDD Fire Alarm Engineer Certification is required.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards, Qatar Civil Defence rules, and local authority approval processes.
- Hands-on exposure to fire alarm systems, fire fighting systems, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, suppression systems, testing and commissioning, and maintenance.
- Proven background in business development, project acquisition, tendering, and generating revenue.
- A well-established network among consultants, contractors, developers, facility management companies, and other stakeholders in Qatar.
- Ability to prepare technical proposals, estimates, tenders, and commercial offers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- A valid Qatar driving licence is required.
