Role overview
Insight Global is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician to support fire alarm installations and verification work on construction projects. The role is based in the field and requires working on site five days a week across Kingston, Belleville, Trenton, and nearby areas.
What you will do
- Assist with fire alarm system installations and verification activities on construction sites.
- Confirm that wiring has been properly terminated by electricians.
- Inspect fire alarm devices to ensure they meet code and CFA requirements.
- Program fire alarm systems and related devices.
- Prepare, complete, and sign off verification reports.
- Step in to support the service team when needed.
Required background
- CFAA certification is required.
- Practical experience programming fire alarm systems is needed.
- A solid working knowledge of fire alarm codes and verification procedures is expected.
- A valid G class driver’s licence is required.
- Applicants should have roughly 5 to 10 years of experience, though this can be flexible depending on overall fit.

Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is CAD 61,000 to CAD 70,000 per year. Final pay may differ depending on skills, experience, and education.
