Because the business is expanding, the New Plymouth team is looking for a Fire Alarm Service Technician to join a stable, supportive environment.
What the Role Involves
- Fit, troubleshoot, and repair both newly installed and existing fire alarm systems so they meet required standards and customer expectations.
- Keep labour time and material usage recorded accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and maintain clear records for internal teams and customers.
- Stay in regular contact with clients about system condition and any repairs that may be needed.
- Look for opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and help grow the business.

Who Can Apply
Candidates with experience in fire alarm systems or the electrical industry are preferred. Licensed electricians without direct fire alarm experience are also encouraged to apply, as training will be provided. Applicants from overseas may be considered if they have strong experience and a solid understanding of New Zealand fire systems standards. Only people with a current legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered.
Additional Requirements and Conditions
Applicants should have good computer skills, a full New Zealand driver’s licence, and strong communication abilities. A proactive, can-do attitude is important.
The selection process includes pre-employment checks such as reference checks, a medical assessment, a criminal record check, and drug and alcohol testing.
