Role overview

This Riyadh-based, on-site, full-time position is for a Financial Risk Analyst. The role centers on identifying, evaluating, and reducing both financial and non-financial risks. It supports the wider risk management setup by analyzing uncertainties that may affect business goals and by producing data-backed insights that help leaders make sound decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Work within the company’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are applied in line with broader business strategy.
  • Collect, clean, and verify data related to financial and non-financial risks for assessment and reporting purposes.
  • Review large datasets to spot patterns, irregularities, and new risks that may influence business outcomes.
  • Carry out risk analysis on portfolios and financial statements, including trend-based reviews.
  • Assess industry, market, and country-level risks to understand current and emerging exposures.
  • Build, maintain, and improve risk models that estimate exposure, project possible losses, and support decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information on key risk indicators and risk appetite.
  • Perform scenario analysis and stress testing to measure resilience under unfavorable conditions.
  • Create clear reports and dashboards for senior leadership and the risk committee.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting. A background of 2 to 4 years in risk management and financial analysis is preferred for shortlisting. Professional certifications in areas such as risk management, financial risk management, enterprise risk management, financial reporting, Basel frameworks, or IFRS 9 are desirable. Strong command of spoken and written English is required, along with solid analytical ability, numerical precision, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The role also calls for confidence with Excel, Power BI, and MS Office, plus the ability to interpret data, draw trends, and explain findings clearly. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial sector is an added advantage.
