Role Overview
Vernovis is looking for a Financial Analyst to join a Columbus, Ohio-based global sourcing and apparel organization. The role is focused on supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis for a business with operations spanning 10 countries and more than 440 team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to annual budgeting and monthly forecast cycles.
- Prepare regular financial reporting packs covering performance measures, operating results, and variance commentary.
- Review financial trends to spot risks and growth opportunities, then translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Help maintain existing financial management tools and assist with future system enhancements.
- Work with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support planning and decision-making.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support for special initiatives as required.
Required Background and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of general finance experience.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong variance analysis and financial reporting capability.
- Ability to analyze operating expenses and spending patterns.
- Experience preparing ad hoc financial analyses to guide business decisions.
- Comfort with gross margin, sales margin, or profitability analysis.
- Experience tracking KPIs and producing management reporting.
- Ability to partner with internal teams to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Background in supporting core business operations rather than banking, investing, or capital markets work.
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and comfort interacting with senior management.
- A proactive, ambitious, self-driven, and conscientious work style.
- Flexibility to work in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Prior involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting processes.
